Quality Policy

At OVUM SPF we work to produce and supply eggs from SPF flocks — incubated or non-incubated — that consistently meet the quality, health, safety and traceability requirements agreed with our customers.

Our Quality Policy is built on the following commitments:

• Protecting the SPF health status through strict biosecurity measures, health surveillance and control of production conditions.
• Ensuring animal welfare at every stage of the process, acting in accordance with applicable legislation and with scientific, veterinary and ethical criteria.
• Maintaining product identification and traceability from the flock of origin through to dispatch and delivery.
• Controlling production, handling, storage, incubation and transport conditions in accordance with the requirements established for each customer and product.
• Complying with the legislation, regulatory requirements and contractual specifications applicable to our activity.
• Employing qualified personnel and providing the training, means and resources needed for the proper performance of their duties.
• Maintaining adequate facilities, equipment and monitoring systems to ensure the continuity and control of our processes.
• Applying independent quality criteria to the review of records, product release and the management of any deviation or non-conformity.
• Selecting, evaluating and supervising suppliers, laboratories and carriers according to their impact on product quality and safety.
• Maintaining transparent and effective communication with our customers and other interested parties.
• Working with an approach based on risk, prevention and documented evidence.
• Continuously improving our Quality Management System through objectives, indicators, audits, analysis of results, and corrective and preventive actions.

The Management of OVUM SPF takes responsibility for driving this policy, providing the resources needed for its implementation, and ensuring that it is known, understood and applied by everyone in the organization.

This Quality Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains appropriate to OVUM SPF's activity, its objectives and the needs of its customers.
